MULTI-STEM TREES
Multi-stem trees have several stems coming from the ground, with upper branches collectively forming a larger crown (rather than a single trunk with a canopy). Ornamental trees in this form are ideal when the species and selection has colourful bark as it helps to enhance the tree's impact.
They have a rather more variable, natural look and suit informal settings. Yet, they also make good specimens for a focal point, perhaps in a lawn or at the end of a vista. Alternatively, plant multi-stem trees collectively to form a copse or informal boundary.
